Former WWE World Heavyweight champion and Intercontinental champion.
He burst onto the WWF/WWE wrestling scene in the mid 80's after stints
in the Mid South and World Class Wrestling areas. His popularity skyrocketed
and he became a huge star, selling a tremendous amount of merchandise.
After winning the World Title from Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 6, his drawing
power as the champion was less than stellar. He left the WWE in 1991 after
a dispute over money, but was later brought back for a short while before
being released again.
